If you struggle to use your voice fully, to ask for what you need, or step into the bigger life you feel calling you, this Pep Talk is for you. In this episode of Ideas Love Community, Jacquelyn Fletcher Johnson encourages you to use your voice, tell your stories, and step beyond the fear of being seen. When you commit to activating the voice of your soul, rather than simply saying what other people want to hear or what you THINK they want to hear, you step into your full power. You see, when you share the voice from your center, people-pleasing, chasing recognition, or creating something because you think it will make you successful becomes less and less important. Instead, your soul wants you to say something true, something that can change people, transform lives, and contribute something meaningful to the world. What story do you need to tell?
YOUR VOICE IS NEEDED
You have no idea how good you are.
You may not see the impact your voice, your ideas, and your stories can have on other people. You may be afraid to use your voice because you know there can be real consequences to putting yourself out into the world. But staying silent has a cost, too.
Jacquelyn reflects on the cultural pull toward rugged individualism, bootstrapping, and fierce independence. But humans need community. We thrive when we are connected to other people, their ideas, their stories, and their love.
YOUR STORY CAN CHANGE SOMEONE
Think about the stories other people have told you that changed how you live, lead, work, or see the world.
Your story can do the same for someone else.
You don't have to begin on a stage in front of 2,000 people. Start with one person. Tell the story in a meeting. Share it with someone you trust. Write it down. Give yourself permission to be imperfect.
The story doesn't have to be polished to be powerful. It needs truth. It needs heart. It needs love.
A LITTLE CRACK IN THE WINDOW
Jacquelyn encourages listeners to put aside their fear and their need to be perfect, even if only for a moment. If you have a story to tell, or feel like there is something bigger you're supposed to be doing, tune in to free your voice, step into courage, and tell the stories you were put her to tell.
THE QUESTION
What stories do you HAVE to tell?
Ideas love community, and we need yours.
